Сollaboration between universities and the industry. What do they have in common?

Despite the increased demand for creating and applying new technologies, many universities and companies are looking to cooperate.

At the panel discussion "Development Prospects of Airborne and Spacecraft Instrumentation" on December 9 representatives of scientific and educational organizations and companies discussed cooperation formats and urgent problems of the industry. Such companies as S7 Technics and Russian Space Systems announced the necessity to carry out research and development in case of the pressing problem of technological sovereignty.
The representatives of SUAI (Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation) and State Research Institute of Aviation Systems spoke of the necessity of close cooperation with the industry within the framework of joint solution of prospective tasks.

The scientific and educational sector is ready and offers some technological solutions for industrial implementation. Many stakeholders are already ready for technology transfer of scientific developments, research and engineering innovations to the real economy. Some of them are looking for ways of long-term cooperation, not limited to the framework of science-university-industry.

During the discussion, Elizabeth Godunova, project coordinator at the CSR "North-West", presented a small benchmarking analysis of university-industry cooperation formats amid big challenges.

The event resulted in a proposal to industrial companies and scientific and educational organizations in order to identify the intersection of specific tasks and proposed solutions. A small step to a big technological breakthrough was made.

The moderator of the discussion was Stanislav Kiselev, the head of the project area of the CSR "North-West".
