Human Capital Development Projects at St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (SUAI)

Implementation period: 2018-2020

The Goal of SUAI Human Capital Development Projects – formation of a change team to launch and implement university development projects. Over the period of two years the Foundation implemented a series of human capital development projects, focused on involvement and work with the academic staff and the administrative and management personnel. The cycle started with the School for Key Researchers – the educational program for building the human resource base (December 2018 - December 2019) and was focused on identification and work with active and motivated university employees under the age of 40. The program resulted in creation of a pool of university development projects proposed by teams made up of the program participants, as well as in creation or a pool of young leaders, capable of taking an initiative and moving towards its implementation.

The program  had the follow-up in a cycle of regular meetings in the format of the Development Leaders Club (December 2019 - April 2020), during which its participants - graduates of the School for Key Researchers studied and tested new methods of working with students in the course of their professional activities. They also formed interdisciplinary teams to produce new scientific papers, tested peer-review formats in the educational process.

The third aspect of work with SUAI was the implementation of the advanced training program "Development of the competencies of academic staff to enhance the international competitiveness of the university." The program was implemented during March-June 2020 and was focused on intensification of the publication activity of the academic staff of the university, on teaching strategic communications to the staff to promote the university in the external environment. The fourth stage of work with the SUAI change team started in March and lasted until the end of 2020.The core of the work is creation of a Project Office for elaboration of the SUAI Development Program for the period up to 2030. CSR "North-West" acted as a methodological center for provision of support to participants of the Project Office in organization of the process of work and preparation of materials for the Program.
